Meditation 2: Self Inquiry with Andrea

During this practice we will go deeper into the Self Inquiry method.

The technique we will use is called ... tracing the "I" feeling back to its source.

You will be introduced and guided to the practice and we will dwell in the beauty and simplicity of the heart with this simple yet powerful method. This technique will be practiced more during the silent retreat.

It is essential at this point to remember the difference between the two stages of ashtanga - Dharana and Dhyana. While we use all these tools to concentrate or find our way to connect to a single minded focus (Dharana), it is essential to start to understand or connect with glimpses of "The constant flux of renewed attention" or so called meditation by Patanjali's definition.

At this stage we are paying attention to attention itself - when we are able to let go of the concentration practices and simply sit in the stillness of our being, firming ourselves in it.
